Microblading looks simple on Instagram and is genuinely difficult in person. This 5-day intensive at MUA Salon's 8336 W 3rd Street studio is for aspiring permanent makeup artists who want a real foundation — not a weekend certificate.
The course is taught by Burcin Goksu, who has been doing permanent makeup and hair color for 25+ years and founded Bugo Beauty in Los Angeles. Days 1 and 2 are theory and practice-skin work. Day 3 is your first supervised work on a silicone face. Days 4 and 5 are real models — you do two full microblading procedures with Burcin standing next to you, then you observe a healed touch-up and learn the correction protocol.
We are honest about what you will not get from any 5-day course: you will not be a master artist. You will be a competent beginner with a small portfolio, the right kit, and the LA County permit application in your hand. Most graduates do 20-40 supervised cases over the next 6 months before they are ready to charge full retail. Students often travel to us from Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pasadena, Studio City, and Sherman Oaks, and we also host artists flying in from out of state.
The private option is one student, five days, every minute of teaching directed at you. The group option is up to three students and is the better path for most people — you learn from watching peers make different mistakes than you make.

- Skin anatomy for the brow area and how pigment behaves in mature vs young skin

- Pre-procedure consult flow, contraindications, and when to turn a client away
- Sterile setup, cross-contamination prevention, and LA County compliance
- Touch-up protocol at 6-8 weeks and managing healed results
- How to price, market, and book your first 10 clients in LA
