Lip blush — also called lip pigmentation — at MUA Salon costs $750 and takes about 2.5 hours, including the 6-week perfecting touch-up. Performed by trained PMU artists at our studio at 8336 West 3rd Street in Beverly Grove, Los Angeles, lip blush deposits semi-permanent pigment into the lip tissue to even tone, soften the border, and add a wash of color that lasts 2 to 5 years.

Lip blush is a permanent makeup technique that deposits semi-permanent pigment into the upper layer of the lip tissue. The result is a soft, even wash of color that defines the lip border, evens out uneven natural tone, and adds the kind of subtle saturation that makes lips look more rested and a touch fuller — without looking "made up."
At MUA Salon, every lip blush appointment includes a one-on-one consultation, a custom color match, hand-mapped shape design, the procedure, and a 6-week perfecting touch-up. We can work in three directions: warming a cool undertone, neutralizing a blue or violet undertone, or reshaping a faded lip border for sharper definition.

Who lip blush is for
Lip blush is for anyone who wants fuller-looking, more defined lips without filler. It works especially well for clients with naturally pale or uneven pigment, for those whose lip border has softened with age, and for clients with a cool or blue undertone they would like to warm up.
Common reasons clients book lip blush: tired of putting on lipstick every morning; want a polished base for makeup-free days; want lip definition before a wedding (see bridal); recovering از filler dissolution and want to define the new shape; correcting an old permanent lip liner.
We do not perform lip blush on: clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, on blood thinners, recovering از chemotherapy, with active cold sores, with diabetes that's not well controlled, or with keloid scarring tendencies. Clients with a history of cold sores must take prescription antiviral medication starting 2 days before the appointment.

- Color match (15 min). We test 3–4 pigments against your natural lip tone and skin undertone in natural light. Cool, warm, or neutral; corrective if needed.
- Mapping & shape design (15–20 min). We measure facial symmetry and pre-draw the lip border with a removable pencil. You sign off in the mirror before pigment.

Plan for roughly 2.5 hours start to finish. Bring your own lip balm, drink water, and skip alcohol and caffeine 24 hours beforehand — both thin the blood and can affect pigment retention.

The 6-week lip blush healing timeline
Days 1–2: bold & swollen
Lips look 50% darker than the final result, with mild swelling that resolves within 24 hours. Drink through a straw. Apply provided balm constantly.
Days 3–7: peeling & shedding
Lips peel in light flakes. Don't pick. Drink water; keep balm on. Avoid spicy food, citrus, and very hot drinks.
Day 10: ghost phase
Lips can look almost colorless — this is expected. Pigment is settling into deeper tissue and will "bloom back" over the next 4 weeks.
Weeks 2–4: color blooms back
True healed color emerges. Begin daily SPF lip balm. Avoid retinol and acid lip exfoliants for the first 30 days.

How long lip blush lasts
Lip blush at MUA Salon lasts 2 to 5 years before a color refresh is recommended. Lips have unique fade physics: the tissue regenerates faster than brow skin, so pigment moves through the surface gradually — softening into a kissed-از-within wash before disappearing entirely.

Two follow-ups matter for lip blush: the perfecting touch-up at week 6 (included in the $750 price) and the color refresh every 2–3 years (booked separately).
روتوش تکمیلی ششهفتهای is part of the package. It's where we sharpen the border, even patches that lifted more pigment than expected, and adjust color depth based on how your lips healed. Without the touch-up, the work is technically incomplete — please plan for it.
Color refresh is billed at a reduced rate. Most clients return between years 2 and 3. If you wait beyond 5 years, the refresh is billed as a fresh lip blush session.

Lip blush is $750. The price includes the initial 2.5-hour session and the 6-week perfecting touch-up. A $250 non-refundable deposit secures the appointment.
