Hosted at our boutique studio in West Hollywood, this 3-day intensive course blends theory, hands-on practice, and expert guidance — giving each student a custom education shaped around their goals.
Whether you’re an aspiring makeup artist, a beauty professional wanting to refine technique, or someone simply passionate about mastering glam, this training takes you deep into the essentials: skin prep, complexion perfection, color theory, eye techniques, contouring, blending, longevity, and creating modern glam looks seen in fashion, red carpet, and editorial makeup.

Course Program
Day 1 — Skin, Base & Complexion Fundamentals
The first day focuses on building a flawless complexion, the foundation of every professional makeup look. Students begin by learning how to properly evaluate skin type, undertone, and texture, followed by a breakdown of effective skincare prep for longevity and smooth application. We explore professional foundation matching, coverage control, blemish correction, and the balance between highlighting and contouring. The day ends with guided practice to refine blending, placement, and overall complexion harmony.
Key areas covered:
Long-wear prep and setting methods
Skin analysis and complexion theory
Professional foundation and concealer application
Dimensional sculpting and soft contour techniques
Day 2 — Eye Artistry, Color Theory & Defining Your Style
On the second day, the focus shifts to eye artistry and the role of color in shaping a makeup look. Students learn how to work with different eye shapes, create seamless transitions, and build depth using professional blending techniques. We explore soft glam, smokey glam, natural eye designs, eyeliner mapping, and lash application. Brow structure and balance are also covered, helping students understand how to frame the face with intention. The day blends theory with extensive hands-on practice, allowing each student to begin defining their own signature makeup style.
Key topics include:
Color theory and undertone selection
Eye shape mapping and technique selection
Blending mechanics and multi-layer eyeshadow application
Eyeliner, lash placement, and brow refinement
Day 3 — Full Glam Application & Professional Techniques
The final day brings all techniques together in a full glam application, completed start-to-finish under the instructor’s guidance. Students learn workflow, sequencing, symmetry correction, and how to build a polished, cohesive look suitable for events, photography, or on-camera work. This session includes refining detail work, sculpting, color balancing, and long-wear finishing techniques. Students then perform their own full application as a practical exam, photographed for portfolio use.
The program concludes with an overview of kit-building recommendations, product curation, sanitation practices, and an introduction to professional development for those pursuing freelance makeup work.
Certification & Takeaways
Upon completion, students receive an official MUA Certificate, along with personalized feedback and technique notes tailored to their goals. Each participant leaves with improved technical skill, aesthetic understanding, and the ability to confidently create both natural and glam looks for themselves or future clients.
